Guided Session #6: Compositional Thermal Option
• Rub

Select now the tab ‘Restart settings’ and uncheck ‘Store restarts’ and click ‘OK’ to validate
these parameters.
C01.6 • Numerical simulation
The icon ‘Initialize’
should now be available. Click on it to initialize the problem and
compute the initial condition. Once the initialization is done, you might maximize the cross
section and select a property to display. Choose ‘Sw’, ‘So’ then ‘Sg’ to visualize the initial
saturation in the cross section as illustrated on figure C01.29.

in the cross section view
Click now on ‘Simulate’
to start the simulation. During the simulation, results are
displayed in real time; you might maximize the plot ‘Gauges – Producer’ to see the evolution of
pressure, temperature, downhole and surface rates for the producer (figure C01.30). The same
can be done with the well logs (figure C01.31).
