The temperature range must be checked here and be large enough in order to include any
possible temperature that could be met during the simulation (including the wellbore, up to
surface conditions). In this example we will consider a reservoir at initial temperature of
around 265 degrees Fahrenheit. We will then choose a temperature range between 32 and 400
degrees Fahrenheit.
Note
: Individual
phase
conductivities and the rock thermal conductivity will be assumed
constant during the simulation while the total thermal conductivity will be weighted by porosity
and phase saturations.

We will consider in this example a mixture composed of C2/C7/C10. Start by selecting from
the left pane these components and add them to the current composition. The current
composition pane shows now four components. Select ‘Methane’ and click on ‘Delete’ to get
the following composition:
