B03.1 • Defining Petrophysical Properties
Access the ‘Reservoir – Properties’ dialog by pressing on
.
Change the reservoir definition to ‘Layered’
to define
specific rock properties for each layer.
Select the ‘Shale 1’ layer in the table located on the left-hand part of the dialog, then click on
the
button below the table to create a new property set. Rename it ‘Shale’. Proceed
identically for each layer ‘S 1’ to ‘S 3’ and ‘L 1’ to ‘L 3’, assigning a different set to each layer.
Keep the ‘Default’ set for layer ‘L 4’. Assign the same property set ‘Shale’ for the layers
‘Shale 1’ to ‘Shale 3’. You should finally obtain the following table:

Select each property set in the table and set its petrophysical properties as shown below in the
table below, leave all the other values to the default:
