B02.1 • Reservoir Lateral Definition: Contour
In the 2D Map tab
, double-click anywhere on the contour to edit its properties dialog:

Set the new geometry to circular, with 800ft radius and accept.
In the current example, we are only interested in modelling thermal effects near the wellbore,
so a small, circular shape is sufficient.
B02.2 • Reservoir Vertical Definition: Defining the Layers
We will now complete the definition of the reservoir shape by setting the number of layers and
their thicknesses.
Call the ‘Reservoir-Geometry’ dialog by pressing on
.
In this dialog, change the number of layers to 10. Then, change the name and the thickness of
each layer, to get the following display:
